Linual Cameron Memorial Scholarship Endowment
Provided each year through an endowment established in 1989 by the Strong-Turner Alumni Chapter. It was established in memory of Linual Cameron, who was Vice President of Finance for 24 years. Mr. Cameron was a strong supporter of African American students at A-State, especially those who exhibited leadership potential and academic achievement.
S-TAC Scholarship Endowment
The Strong-Turner Alumni Chapter Scholarship was established in 2009 to assist African American U.S. students attending A-State.
Anderson Neal Jr. & Marietha Goodwin Neal Scholarship Endowment
Established in 2018 through the generosity of Anderson Neal Jr. The endowment scholarship fund has been instituted at A-State to benefit African American students majoring in fields of education, agriculture and/or STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics).
Dr. Herman & Maxcine Strickland Endowed Scholarship
Herman Strickland Jr. and his wife Rhonda established this scholarship to honor his parents, Dr. Herman and Maxcine Strickland. Dr. Strickland was a faculty member from 1972 until he retired in 2008, helping prepare numerous educators for their careers.
Tamela & Judious Lewis Scholarship
Provided annually through the A-State Foundation and the Strong-Turner Alumni Association, established by Tamela & Judious Lewis.
Maurice La'Blance Mahon Steward Elementary Education Scholarship
Shelvy and Robbia Keglar were inspired to establish this scholarship in 2020 by Robbia's mother and the family tradition in education . This scholarship will benefit minority students at A-State who are graduates of Forrest City High School and pursuing a bachelor's degree in elementary education.
Herman W. Strickland, Jr. Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship was established in 2021 by Rhonda Strickland, Dr. Herman and Maxcine Strickland, Rick Neal and John O'Connor (spouse, parents and colleagues) to honor his legacy. The endowed scholarship will reward outstanding minority students at A-State who share his passion for public service. The recipient must have past, present and future interest and work in community service.
Major General Elder Granger MD Military Retired Scholarship
MG Granger established this award for the 2022-23 academic year for African American U.S. citizens at A-State. The $5,000 annual award will be presented to two students, split between the fall and spring semesters.
