A signed copy of this addendum must be on file prior to any event in which alcohol is being served.

This Alcohol Addendum is entered into between the Arkansas State University Alumni Association, Inc., a non-profit Arkansas Corporation (hereinafter “ASUAA”), and _______________ (hereinafter “Renter”) for the purpose of setting forth the terms and conditions under which Renter shall be allowed to serve alcohol at the Event and shall become a part of and be incorporated into that certain Event Agreement entered into by the parties contemporaneous herewith.

1.      Renter shall be allowed to serve alcoholic beverages during the Event subject to the terms and conditions set forth herein below.

   Option 1     Champagne, wine and beer (hereinafter “Approved Alcohol”) may be served, not sold at the event. The Renter shall provide, at Renter’s expense, all     “Approved Alcohol” for the Event. Bartenders hired and paid for by Renter shall serve all “Approved Alcohol”. Bartenders must be at least 21 years of age.     Please initial ______.

  Option 2     Sales of all alcohol, including wine, beer, champagne and hard liquor, (hereinafter “Cash Bar”) can only be provided through Sodexo Catering Services as authorized by the State of Arkansas. This also includes serving of hard liquor. This is a separate agreement made directly with Sodexo. NO EXCEPTIONS.       Please initial ______.

2.     Renter shall restrict the consumption of alcoholic beverages to persons who are 21 years of age or older.  Renter, its agents, employees and contractors shall limit the amount of alcohol consumed by persons attending the Event so that such persons do not become intoxicated. It shall be the sole responsibility of Renter, its agents, employees and contractors to verify the age and sobriety of attendees. Renter represents and warrants that it, its agents, employees and contractors shall comply with all local, state and federal laws governing the serving of alcohol at the Event.

3.     At the sole discretion of the building supervisor assigned to the event, alcohol service may be discontinued for any individual or group for the Event at any time for any reason whatsoever.

4.      Renter shall discontinue all bars and alcohol service at least 30 minutes prior to the scheduled end of the Event.

5.      This Agreement may not be modified, amended or changed in any manner except by written document signed by the Renter and ASUAA.
