Volunteer Leadership
Award of Excellence
Created in 2003 by the ASU Alumni Association, the Volunteer Leadership Award of Excellence honors one Association member annually who exemplifies outstanding commitment to the Alumni Chapter Program through his/her volunteer efforts. Recipients are chosen by the ASU Alumni Association board of directors from nominations submitted by members of the local chapter in which the nominee serves, or by general members of the ASU Alumni Association (nominees may not be current members of the ASU Alumni Association board of directors).
Award Criteria
To be considered for the award, an individual must meet the following guidelines:
Be an active member of the ASU Alumni Association
Be actively affiliated with a geographic, academic or special interest chapter recognized by the ASU Alumni Association
Demonstrate an outstanding commitment to the alumni chapter program through a contribution of time and talent
Be an individual who recognizes the importance of his or her education at Arkansas State University, who demonstrates pride in alma mater, and whose interest and loyalty are evident.
Nomination Procedure
Nominations received on or before November 30 will be presented to the selection committee for evaluation for the current year’s awards. Materials received after the deadline will be considered in the following year. A nomination is retained for two consecutive years. There is no limit on the number of times a person can be nominated.
