Cooper Alumni Center Dedication

The Cooper Alumni Center held its formal dedication on Oct. 17, 2008, from 4-6 p.m. Donors and other invited guests toured the facility and viewed the unveiling of the plaque.

Special recognition was given to Darrel Cooper '64 and Charlotte Pugh Cooper '64 of Clarkston, Michigan. In 2003, the ASU Alumni Association received a $2 million gift from Mr. and Mrs. Cooper toward the construction of the 20,000 square-foot facility. Their contribution started the fundraising for the privately-funded facility, named the Cooper Alumni Center in recognition of their gift. Other benefactors were also honored at the dedication.

Speakers included Gary Pugh '68 of Pocahontas, president of the ASU Alumni Association; Dr. Robert L. Potts, chancellor of ASU-Jonesboro; Bob Earwood '80 of Memphis, former president of the ASU Alumni Association, and Beth Smith '82 MA '03 of Jonesboro, executive director of the ASU Alumni Association. Here are some pictures of the event!
