HOMECOMING 2008

We had a wonderful time at HOMECOMING 2008 on Sept. 19-20, starting on Friday morning with the Class of 1958's Golden Anniversary Reunion:

That evening, the Distinguished Alumni for 2008 (Rosalie Gorham Barber ’60 MSE ’68, Bob Earwood '80, Maj. Gen. Elder Granger ’76 and Steve McFerron '71 MBA '74)
were recognized at the very first event to be held in the brand-new Cooper Alumni Center:

On Saturday morning, there was a tour of the Cooper Alumni Center for 1924 Sustaining Life members and other donors:

At noon, the Strong-Turner Alumni Chapter held the Linual Cameron-Gussie Turner Memorial Scholarship reception, with the Linual Cameron Scholarship going to ASU senior Cassandra Scott and the Outstanding Alumni Award going to Billie Jean Hill '07:

On Saturday afternoon, we had a gala pre-game tailgate party as a 'soft opening' of the Cooper Alumni Center, complete with delicious Bar-B-Q and great music by The Brewers - fun for the whole family:

Then it was on to our winning game against Middle Tennessee! The ASU Cheerleaders Reunion alumni delighted the crowd, Maj. Gen. Granger was inducted into the ROTC Hall of Heroes, the 1958 Football Team was recognized and our Distinguished Alumni were honored at halftime:
